Meet Makayla Beth. She's our new niece...4 weeks old today. This is Ben's older sister's baby, Jill and Brian. They also have a 6 year old son, Cael. She was born a few weeks early and only weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces. And since then, they have found a hole in her heart. She was in the NICU until a week ago for her feedings, although her oxygen levels were normal. She was rushed by ambulance just yesterday from Pella to a cardiac hospital in Des Moines for very low oxygen levels. Her blood pressure is also very low, and they're giving her blood. Please keep her in your thoughts. She really needs them, and so do her parents. :)

Oh my goodness. That one hits close to home. Jen, please know this little one is in our prayers. Keep me posted, please.
