Ben and I finally had a chance to just be with Makenna, all by herself...yes- without Bennett. Poor Sugar- she hasn't had just Mommy and Daddy time since her little bro arrived, 3 months ago. That's a long time to have to share!
We decided that she was probably old enough to go see her first movie! I'd wanted to take her to see The Princess and the Frog, had totally talked it up, shown her little videos online, the whole nine yards. Not to mention, she can't get enough of princesses right now-it was a perfect combo! Then come to find out- it just wasn't in the cards. The heater in that specific theatre was broken. Ugh- I would have to say that I was basically devastated. I know it's totally not a big deal, but still- I was. We ended up seeing the Chipmunk Sequeal. It was fine, and she loved it- no harm done. :)
We got some popcorn and enjoyed the show. She did really well. Basically sat through the whole movie, didn't talk, and wasn't distracted. Next time- The Princess and the Frog...fo' shizzle, My Makenna-izzle.
