...And the rash continues

I guess I'm still sick, or whatever I am- more like a freaking mess. I'm so sick of being sick! Talk about it getting under my skin. Haha. Most of my other symptons are gone, but the rash is sticking around. On Wed of last week, it was in full effect...so much so that I decided mid-afternoon that I'd bake a batch of cookies to keep my mind off the itching. Umm yea - that didn't work. As I took the first pan out of the oven, I was in such dire need of relief that I hopped on the internet and looked for super-quick, fast-acting, major-relief, home remedies. I found on some site to use olive oil. I stripped down right there in the middle of the kitchen, and had a rub-down. I called Ben (who couldn't do anything- he was at work) and told him I was having a major freak out! I guess he called my aunt and my grandma, and then 20 minutes later...I was whisked away to Urgent Care.

The doctor said that it looked like hives, and that'd it- say it with me..."run it's course." Ugh- you've GOT to be kidding me?! "Can't you do ANYTHING for the burning and itching!? Isn't there some magic potion that will kill this off?!" Nope- nada. He prescribed me an antihistamine. I had already set up an appointment with my dermatologist for Friday, so he said to wait and talk with him. Cool- I'll wait. That. sounds. perfect.

I had the derm appt on Friday morning- came back with once again...nothing. "Here's some topical cream, and you can pick up another anti-itch lotion at CVS. I'm really not sure what's going on..." Why didn't I go to medical school?? He just made five-hundy off of my ten minutes. Cool.
