Mommy and Me Mondays

I decided to sign up Makenna for the PDO program at her school on Wednesdays through the summer.
A couple of reasons why:
1. It'll be good for her to stay on a routine, dance on Tuesdays...school on Wed.
2. She THRIVES on the interaction between her and the other kiddos.
3. A few of her classmates/friends were going to be in the same class.
4. Let's be honest-- It lets me have some one-on-one time with the little guy and catch up on my honey-dos.

So anywhodalee...in return, she would have her day with just me too. Hence, Mommy and Me Mondays. I thought the title was catchy. :) We bought season passes to the theme parks here in KC and booked a sitter for most of June and July. Our first day was today. So. Much. Fun!! We both loved it. Her favorite ride was the Merry-go-round. Funny- we rode SO many rides, and that's what she loved.


A few other things I might mention, just because I'm thinking I need to make a note of them...
-The other day she was telling Daddy bye. She said exactly, "Bye-bye my handsome prince." Can you say mush?!...for me and Ben both.
-At bed time, she told Bennett, "Sweet dreams, Baby Bennett. I love you." I mean- no words.
-And she told me today that "when I'm a big mommy, I want to be a school teacher...and a dance teacher...and a soccer coach!"
-And quite possibly the Quote of the Year, hands-down- "Mommy, you're just the best!" People- I don't make this stuff up. Pinky Swear. :)
