It's already been 9 months.

I think this looks like a football picture...not sure where his neck is. :)

Yepper, our little man is 9 months! I don't know how else to word what I'm about to say with a greater emphasis on what I actually mean, but seriously- time flies! I know it's so cliche and very over-used, but COME ON! It'll be within a few days where he starts something new and then moves onto the next step. I know it means he's smart, and he's doing what he's supposed to be doing, but...and there's still a but. :)

What Little Man Bennett is up to these days:
1. He carries items that he can hold in his mouth throughout the house...yes- just like a dog.

2. He vibrates his lips (I call it motorboatin'). It's like he's warming up for his Glee Club Regionals concert, although he's not the singer/dancer that Fin is...yet! :)
3. He loves eating! I have stopped nursing (btw that was bittersweet), but he continues to have around 4 bottles a day, with baby food and toddler snacks in between. He has started to suck his thumb more...would that have to do with not nursing?!
4. He pulls up on anything and everything. Your legs, your arms, the toilet, the chairs, the dishwasher, the tv, couches, you name it. And now even things that are flat...like cabinet doors and the fridge. He's even started the one-hander. He'll let go of one hand and barely be holding onto the item with the other. We've taken the toilet paper rolls off and set them on the counter, and the trash cans have been put up too. Boy oh BOY- he's busy.

5. He LOVES getting away. Whether it's up the stairs (climbing the stairs at 8.5 months- is that normal!!!???) when you aren't looking or rolling around wrecklessly while you're changing his diaper. Sitting still is boring.
6. He still has the biggest smile, especially if Makenna is giving him attention. Man I tell you what- he adores her for sure. She pretty much hung the moon.
7. And you know who else hung the moon?! - his Daddy. When Ben's home, he's fussing for his attention...no joke. So. cute.
8. He is still crawling. He's almost started this bear crawl thing, which is pretty funny to watch. It's like he wants to simply stand up without using anything, but then he can't figure out how to get the top portion of his body above his lower portion. He'll look at you like, "Umm- so what do I do next?!"
9. He's a good walker if you're holding onto his hands. He takes the steps on his own and leads the way.
10. Our poor kitty. That girl has been through the ringer, and I'm pretty positive that her time isn't over just quite yet. Bennett is all up in her grill- about 90% of the time he's awake. Sweet thing...she does pretty well and tolerates it to a certain point, but she'll give him you-know-what if she's done. He just laughs!

11. He also now knows how to wave and give kisses. He opens his mouth and rubs on your face back and forth. You may want to have a washcloth handy. :) I've starting working on blowing kisses and clapping. Give him a few weeks and he'll have it.
12. He still only has 2 teeth, the middle ones on the bottom. I don't see anymore coming as of right now.
