We had put her to bed and said that if she got up that we'd take her zebra. Surprise-- she doesn't care!...she got up. So, as I was rocking Bennett to sleep I asked her to go get her zebra. Next thing I hear, crash. thud. crying. Ben saying a few choice words. I got up, saw the blood...knew it might need a little more than a band-aid and a kiss. Ben took her, while Bennett and I held down the fort. I am quite proud of how in control I was, how calm we were, how no-big-deal I felt. I guess Mommy-mode takes over. Guess a little glue never hurt anybody.
Here she is before leaving to go to the hospital.
Waiting on the doctor.
Feeling much better with a popsicle.
Here she is this morning, eating her cereal. She saw this picture as I was posting it. She said, "Oh- poor Makenna. She has a bad boo-boo!"
Ben said she was a champ, except when they had to hold her down to wash it out with some saline. I'm almost glad I wasn't there- good decision on my part- send the man...that's what he's here for! :)
