The Real Deal

So today marks her actual birthday.  She's five.  And I can hardly believe it.  For reals.

Our birthday day went down like this.  First up, school.  They bring in treats for the day and the kids sing happy birthday to them.  She was most excited about getting to do the "blow out the candles" game.  I guess it's a big deal for a preschooler. :)  They also get the cute hat.
Of course for dinner, we went to Texas Roadhouse.  (Not sure what we'd do if that place ever went under...?)  Dinner, drinks, a saddle song- giddy up!  Now that's a birthday.
We had the rest of the family over for cake and ice cream (leftovers from the party).  We opened more presents and enjoyed coziness with the clan.  We gave her something quite special for her 5th birthday.  The American Girl Doll of the Year happens to be McKenna.  She even got the puppy and matching jammies.  She is our real life doll baby.
And Milo wanted to wish Mak a very special birthday too.  Life is pretty sweet.
