A few noticings:
-When he nurses, he puts his hand over his eyes...like this is the best thing he's ever had- guess it probably would be, huh!?
-Thank God that he doesn't spit up as much as he used to. But heavens, he drools like a pit bull and can completely saturate a bib within a few hours. He still has no signs of teeth.
-He can pretty much sit up on his own.
-Tummy time is a favorite for him, which is good. He's really started to stretch out and straighten his arms to push up. You know what comes next-- all fours and "the rock".
-He loves the car. There's a mirror that he looks into. He'll sit back there and laugh and talk and giggle to himself the entire ride. He also pants at himself...a kind-of laugh. Of course, he listens to his sister and laughs at her too.
-Napping is pretty good. He'll sleep for an hour or so in the mornings. Then a long afternoon nap...and sometimes another little cat nap around 5:00. Bedtime is solid. He's in bed by 7:30 and for the most part sleeps 10-12 hours. YES!
-We all know he's doubled his weight. Duh.
-He'll grab anything in sight. Your face, your lips, your nose, your hair, toys...you name it. Oh, and he's a kicker- a very strong kicker! I wouldn't doubt it if he was a an Olympic swimmer someday!...or maybe a Sumo Wrestler would be more like it!
-He has his first sound down. Why would it be mamamamama, when dadadadada is so much more fun!! :)
-He rolls over both ways, and in fact has even started the getaway maneuver when his diaper is being changed. I love locking him in between my knees and playing the game "turn back around here, bub!"
-He pretty much sucks his right thumb when he's done eating to go to sleep. Boy- that'll be a pain to break later. Not looking forward to that.
-Sucking his big toes is a yummy treat too! Doesn't matter where...the Bumbo, the car seat, laying down, in his crib...you name it.
-Bathtime is just about ready to be dangerous. He's not strong enough to sit up by himself in the bath, so he's still in a lean-back seat thing. Although, he's very interested in the water, splashing, feeling, and grabbing for the toys. We literally can't take our hands off of him.
-He thinks the cat is hilarious! She walks by, meows, lays there...he laughs!
-A few weeks ago, he started realizing that he could open and close his fingers. How cool is it to see their little brains at work?! Love that.
-He gurgles his saliva in the back of his throat and loves blowing raspberries.
-And probably his newest addition is his willingness to try and pull himself up from a laying down position into a sitting up position. The kid's gonna have a 6 pack in no time! Hot dog.
So here he is at 6 months!
And Bennett was able to try a special treat today too, for his 1/2 birthday! Yummy- some organic brown wild rice. Ummm. Dee-lish...

Or- not-so-much.
He actually did fairly well, admittedly I didn't have too many expectations. I have no doubt that he'll quickly get the hang of it.
We also went to church this morning. Was it a coincidence or maybe not, that the lovely nurse that delivered me exactly 6 months ago was in line right behind me to drop off her youngest for day care. That was really cool-
