Bennett is just quite the little bundle of joy. And I mean it- if you follow the blog, or know of him on a more personal basis, you understand. People are just ga-ga for this kid. His mother included. :)
-He knows now how to fall over carefully if he'd rather be on his belly reaching for a toy. I'm always so impressed by how they can figure that out. It takes some processing skills.
-He is very expressive. You can tell if he's upset with you- whether you took a toy away that he wanted, or doesn't want to sit in the exersaucer, or wants Mommy to hold him. He's not one to beat around the bush. He's easily understood.
-Our PAT came a few weeks back and did his 6 month screening. He passed with flying colors! There was one area of concern, although it's sort-of debatable. He got scored down for not having stranger danger. Bummer, but not really.
-He scoots himself backwards. He can get to anywhere he wants to go...by rolling, or turning his body around, or by scooting. He's yet to be up on all fours though.
-Still sleeps great, thank God for that! Between 4-5 hours of nap-time during the day and then around 11 hours at night.
-No teeth yet, but they have to be just under the skin. His bottom gums are very swollen and really soft to the touch. I still can't feel anything sharp yet though and I don't see anything white.
-As far as food goes-- He only eats "food" once a day...usually in the afternoons, around 3 or 4. We started him with rice cereal, then he tried some oatmeal, and then he's also tried the yogart mix. (That's new since Mak) Because we're maybe on the conservative side with food, that's been all. That and breastmilk. Yummy. A lot of doctors are now saying that instead of nothing but breastmilk for the first 6 months, that it should nothing but breastmilk for the first year- can I get a DUH!?!?!?! We will move very slowly with the food, just like we did with Makenna.
-I gave him his first veggie today. Oh, some sweet peas!!!! He did not like them. He gagged, he spit them out, and he gave me a bad look. We'll keep trying, I know he will eventually. :)
"Disgusting Mom- what are you thinking?!"
"Do I look amused?! I don't think so!"
"I demand some rice!"
"Oh, thank the Heavens that is over...back to being a happy boy!"
