We had SUCH a great time!! We were long over-due to have a "party-party," but it was well worth the wait. Tons of friends and family came over and hopefully enjoyed themselves as much as our family did. The weather was in-cre-di-ble, and I mean it. It was almost 85 degrees with clear blue skies! The sun went over the hill and it was absolutely purr-fect. Thank you Mr. Bennett, for being such a good boy. Happy birthday, Bubby. We love you...to the moon and back.
So, here's the cake! It was quite tasty...I think. I literally had two bites. And not because I'm on some crazy diet, but because I'm a mom and have other things to do. :)
The whole set, which I thought was pretty dang cute. I am SOO not into that "baby stuff." Never was, never will be. I prefer trendy and cute, please. Eat. More. Cake. Well played.
Such a cute balloon. Birthday Boy. Fo shizzle.
His little onesie I ordered...uberprints.com. Create your own tee.
Hooraaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! I'm ONE!!
Cute family picture.
We sang him Happy Birthday. This was his face. He LOVED it. :)
Let's dig in! I think he mostly tasted icing, but hey...it's all sugar and that's what counts!
Hmmm. How about if I use a spoon?!
He was seriously so excited about the gifts...and I loved that he loved them! ...as if you couldn't tell. I really love this pic, btw. There's so much joy.
Beep, beep!! Thanks, Ben C to the Lark! They might be pretty tight someday.
Boys, boys, boys!! Balls, balls, balls! What else could a guy ask for?!
Anyone need a ride on my super cool fire engine?! Thanks Great Grandma and Grandpa. You're the GREATest!
How 'bout a little wagon action?! It's fully equipped with sippy cup holders and seat belts. You wanna talk about fly?!!! :)
I'd also like to welcome our newest family member into the Dohrmann family, Minnie Mouse the fish! I had asked Makenna what she wanted to give Bennett for his birthday gift, and she responded with, "A fish!" Uhhhh- perfect-o! Guess we'll get a fish.
And MY favorite gift BYYYYYYYY FARRRRRR- Mommy's Sippy Cup. Too. flipping. cute!
My besties- For how long you may ask?! Since we were F.I.V.E!! No kidding. Carisa's in the middle, Jill's on the end.
The bounce house was a HUGE success!! Thanks to Mary for letting us borrow it!
Bennett had a lot of fun in the bounce house too, even when some of the other bigger kids were bouncing him around. Fear is for the weak!
I love fall evenings like this...life just doesn't get much better.
Some more bouncing fun.
The Grill Master himself. Fabulous food assortment, might I add.
My grandparents have been happily married for 58 years. They're pretty much amazing and soooo cute too. Don't you think!?
Nevermind the KU tent to the left. We have a Cyclone red one, but it was on loan. Sooo, we borrowed this one from R and R. It worked just as well, just didn't look as good. :)
The girls were having a dance party on the deck to none other than Who Let the Dogs Out!!??
Tired little guy- Na-Night Buddy.
My parents with the kids. Mom was an AWESOME helper for the party. Dad- you were too...no one can top your socializing skills!
We lit the tiki torches, laughed a little, and chit-chatted.
A totally Grrrrrrrrrr-eat party!! :) One for the books.
