10 on 10

My great friend Kristine, (who I mention often) keeps a really fun blog and takes such creative shots with her camera. She came across another blog who suggests you do a "10 on 10." It's ten photos on the tenth of the month. The goal is to take note of a "normal" day, and not just special activities. I loved this idea. I forgot about it last month, but had her remind me for this month. And would you believe I remembered it today after half of the day was over!...even with her reminder! That's pretty sad. Wow- where's my head?!

Goal for next month-- take photos throughout the entire day! I promise I'll try harder.

To back track, we implemented a massive clean up project this morning! I untied, unscrewed, and put away toys. Ugh- I think that was 2 hours of my life! Certainly could have taken a picture of that! I unloaded the dishwasher while Ben was cleaning up and reorganizing the outside. Could have taken a picture of that too. Makenna played outside in her jammies (yes, jammies) for most of the morning with our super cutie pie neighbor kids. They were collecting acorns, riding bikes, and using sidewalk chalk. Coulda, woulda, shoulda- had I remembered.

Mom and Dad came over for lunch to help eat some of the remaining food. We were rooting on the Chiefs. (And btw-I thought their pink shoes were awful darn cute!) The kids came inside to have some lunch and talked on the walkie-talkies. Then they wanted to color. They sat at the kitchen table so quietly and concentrated SOO hard on their darling pictures. Again- dropped the ball. I think it was about then I realized what I was missing.

So here's what I have!

This is the picture she worked so hard on. She told me it was a person doing some kind of magic trick. I'd say it'd be magic- I think the person has 22 arms! :)

Here's our fridge. You know how your fridge gets crammed full of leftovers after a party...it's sometimes hard to even find anything and then you forget about that awesome dip way in the back. By the time you come across it, there's green mold growing!

Calling-- anyone and everyone who is tuckered out and needs some rest!!! Sunday afternoons...YES! Nap, please. Not for me though. Ben let me sleep in. What a guy!

(And ps. Ben doesn't know I took this pic. It's our secret! )

I even tip-toed into Bennett's room during his nap. I never go in there while he's sleeping...I felt like SUCH a dare devil! :)

In between naps and dinner, I was a loser and once again- fell behind. Ben took Mak shopping if you can believe that...like- to a clothing store!! Yea, don't fall out of your chair. And I took Mr. B to see a new home my girlfriend just bought. No pictures, once again....Hello Beautiful!!! AWESOME HIZ-OUSE!!!!!

Come dinner time though, I snapped these--

Makenna had a PB & J sammy- we made sure to sing the Peanut, Peanut Butter (and jelly) song.

...and Cali had her yummy din-din too!

We had bath time next. I took a nakey-pic of Makenna...wish I could share, but can't. It's hilarious! She's hilarious!

Next up-- Bennett NOT having a bottle before bed, but getting to read books instead- now that he's all grown up and all!

Some snuggle time and prayers. Tonight she was thankful for Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell and Captain Hook!

Closed her door at 7:52. Good night!

Funny enough, it was really hard for me to pick out ONLY 10 pictures. And remember, I missed 5 hours from the morning!!! Maybe what I'll do is tweak the 10 on 10 and make mine 20 on 20!! I know you'll all LOVE looking at 20 pictures! I do really love this idea though and had fun with it- a totally wonderful way to document Our Real World.

(And yea...count 'em- there's 11 pictures! Told ya it was hard to pick just 10!!)
