Curious George Live was pretty great! Makenna and I loved the show. She came home and told Daddy all about the plot. "Chef Pasketti this, Chef Pasketti that." Her synopsis was right on. I love her emerging reading skills!! :)
We shared a bucket of popcorn and some one-on-one time. Umm- love both.
You can tell we had some great seats.
I had the chance to be one of her teachers at school this morning. I loved seeing her in her classroom, plus getting a chance to see what all they actually do. She acted no different than she usually does. I found out one thing I knew, and one thing I didn't.
(I feel like I'm doing a KWL chart!)
Already knew-
-- She's a good student in class.
Found out- (however...not at ALL suprprised)
-- She blurts out. Not bad, but does do it. For example, the other teacher was reading a book. When a bad situation arose in the story, she said, "Oh no!" Then the teacher put her finger over her mouth. This happened a few other times too. I asked Ms. Michelle about it after class and her exact quote went like this. "She does do that. BUT- she's always on task and you can tell she's paying attention." I've been there- I've said that. It translates into "She's a good girl, but yes- she is impulsive!" Looks like I've got some work to do!! :)
