Time Away

We all need some time away, huh?! Ben and I, since Bennett's been born, haven't had too terribly much (and that's in my opinion) - although we have had some randomly. We were gone a day for my birthday last March to the wineries in Weston, and then for a weekend to visit Ben's sister in MN. Other than that, we haven't had too much adult time.

I mean- you wanna talk about sans kids- can I get an AMEN?! Plus- another biggie...I wasn't nursing, so there was no pumping involved. How wonderful.

We had a Maximized Living seminar in Orlando. We left on Thurs and returned on Sunday. Mom so graciously watched the kiddos and cared for them, then my cousin Megan took control too. Megan took them to a farm on Saturday- she said they loved it!

Ben is involved with this amazing (what I would call a coaching system or a management group) association called Maximized Living. They're chiropractors around the nation and also in Canada. They refer to themselves as a health care delivery system. I was in class with Ben most of Friday and Saturday. And let me tell you, what I lacked in emotion on Bennett's birthday I made up for while in Orlando. No joke- I cried, I cried, I cried, and I then cried some more. Wow- literally life changing stories, facts about chiropractic that I wasn't aware of, philosophy and principles, and living by the 5 Essentials. I feel like my status on chiropractic care has totally changed. I have been fairly relaxed about it in the past, telling people about how it can help with pain in general, and other related health concerns. I've now been inundated with factual information on how to change and most importantly save lives through chiropractic. If I don't start pushing chiropractic down every person's throat that I meet, you can call me a hiprocrite. You have the full responsibilty to slap me across the face and tell me that I'm not living the life I was called to live. I see that now.

I felt like I was 13 again and had just come back from church camp. It was like that. Eye-opening, spiritually and emotionally both. Amazing. Ben asked when I wanted to go again, probably thinking I might attend one out of the four for 2011. I said, "All of them!"

It wasn't all work related however. There was some fun involved too! Lucky us, huh?! Downtown Disney both nights, adult beverages, and over 21 conversations!! :) I even enjoyed 2.5 hours in the sun. Sigh...I sure feel refreshed.

Ben and his fabulous chiropractic assistant (aka CA), Allie. We LOVE her!

Ben and I headed out on the town.

This is Dr. Casey Baker. He practices out in Overland Park!

Ben and I with our good friends Mike and Jana Lampe. They're both chiropractors.
