As I was catching up on all her family goodness, I noticed that at the bottom of her posting, I was one of the award-getters!! I had to send her a FB message to make sure!...But sure enough was right. :)
This is my first blogging award. With it come a few rules:
1.) Thank and link back to the person who awarded me this award.
I mean, who doesn't love a mommy to four sweet babes, as well as a full time teacher!? Michelle- I KNOW there have been struggles in your mommy life, but you are such a great mother and wife. Please understand you do what's right for your children and you need to give yourself some M.A.J.O.R credit...honestly. You deserve this award 1000 times over. Not kidding.
2.) Share 7 things about myself.
Wow. Hmmmm- Where do I begin!?... :)
1.) I'm a lover, not a fighter. Although, don't get me wrong-- I like to be right. I like to be in control. I like to be the boss. So, maybe I should say, "I'm a lover, not a fighter (with some stipulations)."
2.) I love the three people that live with me in our home, probably even more than I can understand. How lucky I am. How lucky I am. How lucky I am.
3.) I wear my heart on my sleeve- and quite badly, I'll add. Talk about a Catch 22. If you can't figure out what I'm thinking by looking at my facial expressions and/or body language, then you really have a hard time reading people.
4.) I'm an emotional mess- and yes, I blame that on my mother. Maybe instead of saying emotional mess, I should say I'm empathetic. Yea, that sounds better. I cry literally, at the drop of a hat. I'll cry almost DAILY reading friends' blogs. I'll cry watching television or some stupid commercial. I'll cry if I start to think about Cali dying. I'll cry if I reflect on how blessed we are. I'll cry when I listen to song lyrics. I'll cry at animated movies. I'll cry at my monthly MOPS meetings. The list goes on and on!5.) I l.o.v.e. staying at home with my sweet peas...WAAAAAAAAAAY more than I ever thought I would. I am a social human- we know this. I thrive on interaction. I am my best person when I have chit-chatted with someone about nothing. If I'm being honest, I was very skeptical about my decision to be the full-time stay at home mommy, but in my heart of hearts, I knew this was what was right for our family.
6.) I can barely whistle. It's the weirdest thing. I just can't seem to get that noise to come out of my mouth! Trust me friends- I have been trying to captivate the world with my talents. This is not one of them. :)
7.) I want to adopt/donate/give whatever it is that's being asked for. I've always wanted to "adopt" a child from somewhere else in the world. You know, the commercials that ask for 'not even 50 cents a day bathes and clothes a child- they'll have books for school, clean water to drink, etc...' I beg Ben. I've asked him to promise me that when he thinks we're "financially stable" that he'll allow me to do this. I'm also a huge sucker for the animal charities, relief programs- you name it.
3.) Toss this award to three other bloggers.
- Kristine at Random Robb Stuff
- Kathryn at Team Whitaker
- Mandy at The Little Misters
