Pretty cool, huh?! 59 marvelous years, full of nothing but perfection, love, and understanding. Well maybe not the perfection part... :)
When Ben and I were aproaching our wedding date, (at the time Gma and Gpa had just celebrated their 50th anniversary) my grandparents were having a conversation with us about how marriage really was. They used the term "peaches and creme." Grandpa, in a jokingly manner said to Grandma, "Honey, don't you agree- that marriage is just like peaches and creme!?" She responded with, "Ha! It's more like turnips and radishes!" Something I'll never forget....
Here's the love birds themselves. Grandpa was being his silly 'ole self...acting taller- acting shorter.
They met in an ice cream parlor, hence the ice cream cones. Grandma was working behind the soda fountain counter and Grandpa took a seat. The story goes he asked her out right then and there! Funny little bonus- she had a date already booked for the night, but totally forgot about it! Oops! :) Talk about meant to be.
Bubby's first ever ice cream cone. Do you think he enjoyed it?!

Sweetest story ever!!! I wish I could have met Dillon at an ice cream parlor. Maybe just so we had to eat icecream every anniversary.
